J. Hood Wright Canine Club
J. Hood Wright Canine Club is funded and maintained by some of the dog-loving people who bring their canine
companions to the dog park. We meet regularly to discuss ongoing maintenance, fund raising, and community events.
Although J Hood Wright Park is maintained by the City and Parks Department, the city agency has neither the funding nor
the staff to maintain the dog run; so the local dog community has stepped up to do just that.
This involves pooper scooping, regular resurfacing, and various other tasks that come up. It also means respecting rules,
and helping new dog owners acclimate to the run. Finally, it means providing the necessary financial support to fund
ongoing maintenance and capital improvement projects.
